Hello everyone! I want to delay this post but the excitement to share dominates me. hahaha...I think I already mention in the previous post that I am heading to Ulu Dusun for the night but I really left out the main reason for the whole trip! As a matter of fact, we went there to celebrate Kaamatan (Harvest) Festival, 2011! The first day, which is Saturday was scheduled with sports activities among the churches of Sandakan Diocese. Our team, representing St. Mary's Cathedral has 10 youths in participation for the event. There was amazing race, singing competition, and more. Most of BEC Indah Jaya youth joined the sales though. It is for fund raising. We have fried noodles, pudding, fruits, drinks and BBQ!

Got fresh sasau pau as my breakfast! Followed up by hot cheese bun. NOM NOM NOM.

Preparing for the food sales.

OOhh I so love that mango pudding right there. It's only RM.2 (promotion) lol >>>

morning aerobic for everyone.

BBQ on our way!

fresh lemonade!! And those are the menu for our sales.

Our St. Mary's representatives for amazing race. Red babeh!!

Playing 'Batu Seremban'

The rays of the sun = a killer.

this is the most challenging one (from my point of view) It's so funny looking at them, no offense. The fun is ruling over despite the hot weather.

hahaha. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY THAT THING. Enough said.

This is Joel Mark's art work! Pretty amazing :D I could never EVER draw like that. I work well with sceneries though. Meanwhile, we did some sharing back at the tent! It's really really REALLY hot. Imagine the BBQ smoke burning in your eyes and molding over your face. In my mind I'm literally running away with my hands in the air insanely shouting to get out of this place... but I know that's not gonna happen either.

With Romeo and his cardboard egg tray as a fan..very resourceful XD. but that will work.

Before the climax of the event begin,we (Claire, Clement, and me) I think. I can't remember much. We went through all over the place asking them to guess the number of peanuts in the Tupperware Claire is holding. Each guess costs RM.1 only. This also contributes to the fund raising.

And then it started raining. The sun still shines brightly tough, I think this is where I caught my fever, before that the flu. :(

TUG OF WAR! (men/guys from St. Mary's)

Jekqwelin and At. Catherine! Go St Mary's!!

TUG OF WAR II! (women/gals from St. Mary's) whoot Go Christy!!!
fyi.- won the first round, won the second but failed the third (men)
p.s. - Gals won all rounds!

The sky...one of my favorite shots and sceneries. After that we headed back to our overnight accommodation, which is also a retreat center in Ulu Dusun. The place is amazing, really. It has the best kind of guest house concept, a large room with double-decker beds and 2 bathrooms. (This is where I slept). There is also a simple couple bedroom and a smaller 3-bedded room. The boys slept downstairs, almost the same as ours but the bathroom is outside. I haven't explore the rest of the place yet. The kitchen is at another building plus a billiard board to play with. Next door is a little chapel. Haven't go the chance to peek inside though.
p.s - 'Overnight @ Ulu Dusun' coming soon!
